Bricks

While visiting Savannah we saw the bricks. SCAD (Savannah College of Art and Design) is saving them and rebuilding areas built with blood. Buildings that were made with the bricks made by slaves are now being preserved for future generations to see and remember. A lasting reminder that life is not fair and that bad things happen. But even more, these bricks serve as a reminder that we should never let this kind of atrocity happen again.

Thankfully, a time not forgotten

Imagine their hands

Covered in mud

Throwing the mix into molds

A mixture of

Mud

Hay

Blood
