Each year on Father’s Day I am reminded of the fact that my father is no longer living. I tend not to focus on that but on what he was when he was here. He was a very warm and very loving person. He was mean though. He would fly off the handle at a moments notice. There were some extremely rough early years followed by just as loving times in the later years. I love my father very much. I talk to him daily and I know that he is listening. Every Father’s Day I am reminded that my father is no longer living,
in the flesh only.
God bless the man who sacrifices for his family
God bless the man who helps without wanting
God bless the man who goes without
God bless the man who smiles with a touch
God bless the man who instills fear
God bless the man who is resolute
God bless the man with damp shoulders
God bless the man with gentle hands
God bless the man who holds the Bible
God bless the man who lives in the word
God bless the man who teaches
God bless the man who is humble
For this man is a Father
And God blessed his family with him
