Remember Me

alek2

Children bring joy to our lives as we watch them grow up with a look of bewilderment in their eyes.  Often we forget that everything a child sees is new to them.  It is our job to teach these young ones and show them the way to a healthy, happy, and prosperous life.  It is also our responsibility to teach them of the past.  To teach them of the name that they will carry for the rest of their lives is a duty that cannot be forgotten.  Our fathers and their fathers are the very reason why these little ones are now a part of our lives.

Without our past, we would have no future

Spread your wings and fly
Reach out, explore
The world is yours for the taking
Feast on its bounty

Remember to open your eyes
The sights will amaze you
Colors and shapes like you’ve never seen
Purples, yellows, blues, and greens

Remember to listen closely
The sounds are magical
Scary and frightening
Yet, enchanting and peaceful

Remember that things you will do
You’ve never dreamed
And things you will see
You will never have imagined

Remember that I will be there
To guide and lead
To answer your questions
To fulfill your needs

Remember that after years have passed
And I have too
And the children of the world
Are counting on you

Remember who showed you the world
And guided your way
That once I was shown
In the very same way
