Greed in Grieving

Death knocks on all of our doors.  Some are made to answer sooner than others.  As the ones left behind we grieve for them, or do we?  We do grieve but it is because of our greed.  We want them, we need them, we miss them, so we grieve.  We are happy that they no longer are in pain or suffering.  We take solace in the fact that they knew God and are now singing in that great beyond.  They are with family and with friends, and we are happy.  Yet because of our greed, we still cry…………Continue Reading

A Father

God bless the man who sacrifices for his family

God bless the man who helps without wanting

God bless the man who goes without

God bless the man who smiles with a touch

God bless the man who instills fear

I Owe You What?

So I was called racists today for not apologizing for whites owning slaves hundreds of years ago.  In fact when I asked the person who said that if their ancestors were slaves he said no but other black people were so therefore it affected him.  Really?

I Miss You

I Miss You

How plans change in the blink of an eye. Forever doesn’t quite mean as much when your forever is taken from you. Memories haunt your dreams and places spark memories. There is nowhere to hide from the pain. The hurt eventually fades but the heartache will linger forever. Life moves on and loves come again but your forever was changed,

and that can never be taken back.

Her Wedding Band / With Sung Lyrics

Her Wedding Band

With Sung Lyrics

To the ones who suffer from Alzheimer’s and the families that have to deal with a forgotten reality. Living each day for that one moment of clarity is a daily routine for so many unsung heroes. Thier lives captured in the crevices of a mind that is lost and trying to find its way back. All they long for is one simple moment,

One simple I love you

He stands at her bedside, just brushing her hair
As she looks out the window, with a lonely lost stare
He reads her his bible, as she holds his hand
And he prays to his maker, help me understand

Every day he gets there, before she awakes
And he makes sure her photos, well they’re perfectly straight Continue Reading………..

At night she is sleeping, before he will leave
As he kisses her lips, and sends God his plea

Lord I hope she’s not lonely, in this world of hers
And I pray she’s as happy, as we both once were
God I know you are with her, and holding her hand
And he cries as he straightens, her gold wedding band

The “Grand Puba” has spoken

Obama thinks that he can wave his magic wand and make everything better, at least until after the elections. It is so funny to see the squirming among the Democrats today. They can’t believe that the insurance companies would cancel policies that the law THEY created told them to cancel. How sad is that? The Puba himself two weeks ago said just get a new policy off of the exchange, you’ll love it! Then those dreaded poll numbers came out.  Continue Reading …………..

A Price to Pay

There is a price to pay for being free. No big brother is not listening to your phone calls or reading your emails. Big brother is not watching you look at Facebook or surf the internet, big brother doesn’t care what you look on the internet. There is no camera over your shoulder watching you live your day-to-day lives. However, we task our government to keep us safe and that is a tall order to fill. We must be willing to give them the tools to do their job. If we are not willing to give them the tools to thwart terrorist activities here and abroad then we can’t complain when things like the Boston bombing or the attacks on the World Trade Center happen. We cannot complain when our neighbor is planning on blowing up our children’s elementary school and no one catches them before it happens. Yes there is a price for safety and there is a price for being free.

The Audacity of the American People

Is there a buck and if so, where does it stop? Who are we, as Americas, to question the President and his minions? His smug demeanor and the inexcusable blaming of others has stepped beyond Chicago and now has corrupted the most corrupted city we have, Washington DC. How dare we question his leadership, how dare we question his ethics and policies, oh the audacity of the American people!

obama

In a world lacking of personal responsibility, our Commander and Chief is setting a shining example of avoiding responsibility. With so much going on in our country the only thing that he seems to want to take credit for is his golf score. The era of Chicago politics has completely enveloped Washington DC.

Ashes to Ashes

Ashes to Ashes

The fight came from nowhere.  Words were said that should not have been.  Feelings tossed out like the trash.  Raw nerves grinded like coffee until there is no feeling.  Bruised, bleeding, alone, and crying in the corner.  Never again are the words that are there, but not out loud.  Self-healing bones and long sleeve shirts hide the damage.  At some point something snaps and clarity sets in.  There is an end to the madness,

Yes, there is an end.

It is not so easy to see

Which of the limbs have been broken

Or to know when the roots became visible to all
