Who to Blame?

Who to Blame? We are always at a crossroad in our life.  Which road we choose, and why, determines our future. At what point do we stop blaming the past on the failures of today? Even the problems …

The ostrich act will not work anymore

As I sit today and reflect on the mass shooting in Orlando and the response from our President and his party, I am beyond disgusted. We now know that the gunman was an ISIS affiliate. We know this because both he and ISIS confirmed it through the 911 call and the media respectively. We know that he was an Islamic Terrorists from the so-called Junior Varsity.  Yet the leader of the United States of America codemns our laws as the culprit behind this barbaric act of violence and hatred…….

Offensive?

Does this flag offend you?

Many people fly the Confederate flag as a symbol of their past. Some people fly the flag simply because they live in the south and the flag to them symbolizes southern pride. Others fly the flag as a symbol of their southern heritage.

Flags can stand for other things but the main one that rears it’s ugly head with the Confederate flag is that of slavery. Although slavery was …….

I Owe You What?

So I was called racists today for not apologizing for whites owning slaves hundreds of years ago.  In fact when I asked the person who said that if their ancestors were slaves he said no but other black people were so therefore it affected him.  Really?

The “Grand Puba” has spoken

Obama thinks that he can wave his magic wand and make everything better, at least until after the elections. It is so funny to see the squirming among the Democrats today. The Puba himself two weeks ago said just get a new policy off of the exchange, you’ll love it! Then those dreaded poll numbers came out.  Continue Reading …………..

I Had a Dream

I had a dream this weekend of a revival, a neighborhood revival. It was awesome. One of the children said some nasty things to an adult from the neighborhood and, as a neighborhood, we took action. We sat this child down and talked with her. Then we prayed with her. What started off as parents coming together to right a wrong turned into a prayer session in front of our home. Soon other neighbors came and joined in prayer. We prayed that God would come into this child’s heart and show them that although the color of skin was different, our hearts were all red. That they all beat ….. Click Photo to Continue Reading

Ashes to Ashes

Ashes to Ashes

The fight came from nowhere.  Words were said that should not have been.  Feelings tossed out like the trash.  Raw nerves grinded like coffee until there is no feeling.  Bruised, bleeding, alone, and crying in the corner.  Never again are the words that are there, but not out loud.  Self-healing bones and long sleeve shirts hide the damage.  At some point something snaps and clarity sets in.  There is an end to the madness,

Yes, there is an end.

It is not so easy to see

Which of the limbs have been broken

Or to know when the roots became visible to all

It Must Be Me

It Must Be Me

Believe what I believe! You are not tolerant! You should listen to me! People today are very polarized in their beliefs. There seems to be no gray areas only black and white. If you disagree with someone you are a bigot, a racist, intolerant, or just insensitive. Take a step back and analyze your own words. Sometimes the mirror of life can really show you the truth.

Is it me, really?

Why am I wrong

Because I do not agree

My values do not matter

In your eyes

I must give in

Or I am wrong
